Sid and Destiny ~ Wedding

October 7, 2011

Sid and Destiny are officially husband and wife!  What a beautiful day, and what a perfect couple.  It was a hot August day, but there was so much bliss going on, I don’t think the two of them even noticed the heat:)  They were married in the Las Vegas LDS temple and then had their reception at the lovely Vitner Grill (one of my favorite venues.)  The reception was perfect, and I couldn’t keep the smile off of my face as I took photos of everyone dancing.  Let’s just say, that a good time was had by all!  Destiny and Sid are such a gracious, sweet, fabulous, gorgeous couple and I wish them a life of love and happiness.

Jessica and Sean.

April 7, 2011

What a beautiful couple, what a beautiful day. Jessica is one of the most genuine and kind brides I have worked with, what a doll. When I first talked to her after she was married she was complimenting me…. and I was like uh… “this is your day and here you are thinking of everyone else!” And her new hubby fits her perfectly. Sean is one of those guys that I can say, “yep, he’s a good one.” He was so considerate of Jessica and really just a soft spoken and humble man, the best kind.

There day was simple, but so classy and well thought out. They were married in the Las Vegas Temple, and they had a luncheon with family and close friends at Maggiano’s after.  Some of Jessica’s brother’s were confused how I knew everyone’s names, and by the end they had to ask me.  I was hoping everyone could just think I was psychic, but I caved and told the truth.  Jessica emailed me photos of their family and close friends with names on it a few weeks prior, so I printed it out and memorized them before the big day….   I will definitely be making all of my brides do the same thing now…. thanks for being so smart Jessica.   I felt like I knew the important people before the day began. :)

It was a lovely day and I am lucky to have been a part of it. Thank you Jessica and Sean!!

lovely, lovely lovebirds.

Marilyn and Chris are a lovely couple indeed.  Luckily Marilyn and I are related because I think she is pretty darn awesome.  She had every detail nailed down to a “T” with these bridals.  I wish you the very best “lovebirds…”

Another fantastic wedding. This one was full of redheads, beauty, and at least 3,000 kids…. o.k. not really that many. It was supposed to be a rainy day, but it stayed nice and dry most the time.  The bride was simply gorgeous, and I’ve known her for since she was just “pre-teen girl.”  Samantha is a genuine, kind, loving, adorable, awesome chick which makes my job a breeze and completely a joy to do.  The brunch was lovely and the reception was extremely cozy (both at the very lovely JW Marriott), every detail was covered.  I loved teasing Carson about his “strong dislike” for dancing, but he was a good sport.  In his family, there were 6 weddings in one year, so maybe he got sick of dancing:) !!

Sam and Carson, I wish you the best, and lots of red haired, olive skinned, brown/blue eyed babies.  Keep on dancing!

Whoa.  What a whirlwind of fun, holidays, activities, photography, and family!  I am back, and will do my best to get posting again.

After Thanksgiving, we packed the kiddos and headed to snowy Utah for my cousins wedding.  I was lucky enough to photograph the special day of Brad and his beautiful bride Cami.  They had known each other for a while, but were only seriously dating for a week before they were engaged and then just a couple months later they were married.  I will admit, I was a skeptic, but I was wrong.  They are perfect for each other and over-the-top adorable.

Being a warm weather girl, I was proud of myself for lasting in the cold.  Actually, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.  I think the highlights of the day would have to be Brad singing to his bride with his brothers and dad, and the tenderness that I saw between Brad and Cami.  Thanks everyone for allowing me to capture the day through my lens.  I loved it.

and here’s their slideshow….

Detailed, lovely, so prepared, very “on top of it,”  genuine, sweet…. all words I would use to describe Katie, the fabulous bride of a wedding I photographed in November.  She put together a beautiful wedding and I don’t think I have ever seen a bride a calm as she was.  I thought her “something blue”  was rather classic, it was the DSW price tag on her shoe… good thing I asked before I ripped it off… that could have been bad.  Katie’s makeup was also truly stunning, when I get the name of her makeup artist I will add the link.

One of my favorite parts of weddings is seeing the bridesmaids interact with their friend who they obviously love so much. Katie’s sweet friends were there to do anything she needed.  They had the rap music going and the wine poured and trust me, I felt like dancing… but I decided it was not very professional to get up and bust ‘a move, so I had to tame my foot tap.

I am continually amazed by all of the wonderful people in the world… sounds cheesy, but it was confirmed again by this wedding.  Bill and his family and Katie and her family couldn’t be kinder, or funner (is that even a word?), and they were a blast to be around.

Thank you Bill and Katie for a wonderful time and I wish you the very best in a long happy life together!

—-  FYI:  The venue of the ceremony and reception was at VIEW 215, and I would definitely recommend it, the staff was great… the most important part of a smooth sailing wedding day in my humble opinion.

– And a special thank you to Cherie Hogan who was a fabulous second shooter, and to Brooke Hewitt my trusty assistant!!

Such a beautiful day, such a beautiful wedding.  These two are an adorable couple and I loved being a part of their day.  They are undeniably in love and I couldn’t help but have a smile on my face the whole day following them around.  The details of the reception were fabulous, and the whole color palette was lovely.   I have never seen more people up and dancing and having a great time then at this wedding; the bride and groom definitely know how to get down, and grandparents, parents, kids were right in the middle of the dance floor too.  It was awesome.  They drove off in an classic vintage car to begin their lives together as husband and wife.  I am sure you two will live happily ever after.  Thank you Lindsay and Tate!

Jordan and Trevor Wedding.

November 4, 2010

I love this cute couple.  Trevor is quite the life of the party, and even though he arrived 10 minutes before the ceremony with out time for pictures…. you gotta love him.  (Just had to rub it in a little Trevor:)  It is so great to see a match that fits so well together, Jordan is as sweet and beautiful as they come and paired with Mr.  Fun Guy, it’s an incredible pair.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day, I wish you both the best!!!

Carnivale Couple.

September 30, 2010

Recognize these guys…???  Yep, it’s two of my favorite newlyweds behind the camera again.  A photographer friend Cherie Hogan put together a stylized “Carnivale” shoot and Brittney and Micah were fabulous models.  Thanks Cherie for the great time!! Here are some favorites of this fabulous couple.

Jordan and Trevor’s wedding is coming up soon, and I am excited to be a part of their special day. They decided on skipping some of the stress and doing some pictures at the temple before the wedding… smart.   These two are high school sweethearts and couldn’t have been more fun and comfortable with each other.  I think that Jordan is destined for a life of laughter with Mr. Trevor, he is quite the funny guy. And Trevor, has got an ultra-sweet hottie in Jordan, what more could you ask for?! Such a great couple, can’t wait for the wedding!

I don’t want to spoil the the surprise of the dress and details… but here a few to keep you anxiously awaiting more..:)
